The Reality

Interntional Women's Day (8 March) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women in the past, present and future. One more occassion for celebrating women power freed of all bonds and inhibations. The past millenium has witnessed revolutionary changes in the status of women from a shy housewife to a confident educated responsible intellegent entity that shares, cares and dare to walk hand in hand with the male counterpart. In the arena of fine arts, women rule - 79 years of age has not mellowed the golden voice of Lata Mangeshkar. On the other hand we have Sania Mirza a 22 year old girl who has ventured where no Indian women had gone before. She planted herself firmly in the annals of Indian sporting history when she became the first Indian women to win the WTA singles title at Hyderabad Open in 2005.
But..................
Every coin has two sides. This might be the better side of the coin. But condition of women in the real world is not the way it is being potrayed. There are many places in India mostly northern India where girl child is being killed even before she steps in this beautiful world.
The reason why girl child is killed, aborted or neglected is mainly because people have a belief that she has to join other family on marriage and also that she needs a dowry. As a Hindu saying puts it, "Raising a daughter is like watering your neighours' garden". I do believe that this is not the condition every where. And I can say this because my parents have looked after us(my sister and me) with all the love and affection they can. For them we are the most precious thing in the whole world.
Breaking the glass ceiling is the need of the hour, in order to promote women power.
So now it upon us how we look at this matter. Do we encourage women power or continue strengthening the glass ceiling.

Life without friendship? Is it Possible?

True frienship is like sound health, the value of it is seldom known until it is lost. Friends accept us for who we are, we gain the confidence to dream great dreams—and to make them real. Friends liven up our days with their twisted humor, their honest answers.
It’s no wonder, then, that medical researchers have found that those who have friends tend to be happier, healthier, and live longer than those who do not.

The picture here depicts mixed feeling of having friends in your life. The happy phase is when you spend time with your friends doing acts which might seem foolish to others but we enjoying doing it, as our friends are with us.
But life is not the same each day. We do have to face difficult times when our friends are not with us. The main reason why friends are so important for us is not our concrete need for help, but knowing that we would immediately get that help is the most important!

Good friends are the biggest wealth

And their friendship is always good.

A person in his life forgets a lot of things

A friend - never forgets his friend..

That's why we value friendship so much. What can be better than having a freind, who is with you not only when you are in good mood, but also when you bristle with difficulties ar feel a bit under the weather.
